Our Members' Promise to Consumers
Trust

WebChamber.com strives to build a relationship of trust and integrity among consumers and our member businesses. To that end, and at the heart of what WebChamber.com stands for, all of our members have pledged to conduct their business, both on and off the Internet, in a manner that is honest, responsible, and ethical.

Practice Responsible, Ethical Internet Business

We promise to conduct ourselves and our business, both on and off the Internet, by following practices that exemplify responsible and ethical businesses. To that end, we will:

  • be honest in all of our business dealings.
  • not misrepresent our business, ourselves, or our organization.
  • not deceive our customers, partners, vendors, or anyone else we interact with.

Use of the Internet

We promise not to use the Internet for gain when it is at the expense of others. Where our gain may be big or small, we do not believe that any gain can be justified if it can cause harm directly or indirectly, at any level, to someone else. To this end:

  • We will not use the Internet to sell distribute, promote, or encourage the sale of firearms and/or other weapons except when that sale is tightly controlled as when the customer is an appropriate law enforcement or government agency.
  • We will not use the Internet to sell, distribute, promote, or encourage adult content, nor will we support those who do by running advertisements for adult sites and/or services.
  • We will not use the Internet to promote hate of any kind, either directly or indirectly.
  • We will not use the Internet to sell, distribute, or promote the use of illicit or controlled substances, nor will we support those who do by running their advertisements.
  • We will not use the Internet in any way that violates applicable laws and/or regulations, regardless if those laws and/or regulations cannot be directly enforced upon us.

Focus on Customer Satisfaction

We promise to make every reasonable effort toward ensuring the satisfaction of our customers, as long as it is not in conflict with our publicized policies. To this end, we will:

  • We will not use the Internet to sell distribute, promote, or encourage the sale of firearms and/or other weapons except when that sale is tightly controlled as when the customer is an appropriate law enforcement or government agency.
  • Respond to all consumer inquiries in a timely manner whenever possible.
  • Fulfill all agreed upon commitments with the understanding that if we are unable to do so, we must refund any money paid to us for those products and/or services we could not deliver.
  • Make every possible attempt to resolve complaints and disputes within our responsibilities as a responsible, ethical business. If we cannot resolve the problem or dispute, we further agree to be bound to arbitration by WebChamber.com or a third-party assigned by WebChamber.com

Respect for the Consumer

We promise to respect the wishes and privacy of the consumer. To that end:

  • We will not use the Internet to sell distribute, promote, or encourage the sale of firearms and/or other weapons except when that sale is tightly controlled as when the customer is an appropriate law enforcement or government agency.
  • Respond to all consumer inquiries in a timely manner whenever possible.
  • We will follow our privacy policy as posted on our web site, and our policy will be to take every possible precaution to safeguard the personal information of all visitors to our web site. If we do not post a privacy policy, we will follow the posted privacy policy of WebChamber.com.
  • We will respect the consumers' wishes with regard to the use of email. If we use unsolicited email, we will provide a means for consumers to request removal from all mailings, and we will honor all removal requests.
Member Feedback and Complaint Resolution
Conflict

As a condition of their membership, our members dedicate themselves to the principles laid out in the "Members' Promise to Consumers" as shown on this page. Despite the best of intentions, however, it is inevitable that conflicts may arise. When this happens, WebChamber.com offers services to assist the interested parties in reaching a mutually amicable agreement.

If you have a complaint about a member, please use our Contact Form.

Upon receiving a complaint about a member, we will work with the interested parties until the issue can be considered closed with one of the following statuses:

  • Resolved - Both parties were able to reach a resolution to their mutual satisfaction, and the resolution did not violate the Members' Promise to Consumers.
  • Unresolved - While there was no violation to the Members' Promise to Consumers, the involved parties were unable to reach an amicable resolution.
  • Dropped - Either the person filing the complain chose to drop the issue, or they were unreachable making it impossible to pursue the complaint.
  • Member Violation - If, in the pursuit of a resolution to the complaint, the member was found to be in violation of the Members' Promise to Consumers, the member will be at risk of termination of their membership.

In some circumstances where appropriate, WebChamber.com reserves the right to delete the records of a complaint - especially when the complaint was not pursuable after the initial filing, or when the WebChamber.com staff finds the complaint to be unfounded and/or filed in an attempt to harass.

WebChamber.com also reserves the right to retain public records complaints even after the member's status is no longer active.
